Charles Monk, 190 16th St. and 83 18th St., Brooklyn, NY was a major US manufacturer of molder's and plasterer's tools. Molding tools are usually identified as "C MONK" or "CM MONK". I have scanned a Charles Monk catalog, date unknown but estimated about 1900. By the early 1950s, C. Monk had moved to Geneva, Illinois, and was still operating in 1958.

I have something that looks almost identical to the CM Monk foundry molders tool in your picture. Its 12" long and made of brass. My is marked J.MARRIOTT. It has a large spoon or mold on one end and a smaller one on the other end. It has 4 lines scored into the handle. I wish I could send you a picture of it. Do you know when these were made?
